Ronald Madhono, the first Amina’s Gift student to study at an American university, is currently a freshman at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP), pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. His academic journey, which began in August 2024, marks a significant milestone for both Ronald and the Amina's Gift program, and we are immensely proud to support him every step of the way.
Ronald's journey to the United States has been transformative, turning his dreams into reality. He’s gained valuable knowledge and skills, and has overcome personal challenges, including conquering his fear of water and learning to swim confidently.
Adapting to life in a new country, Ronald has formed strong relationships with his supportive professors, who have broadened his academic and personal growth. His experience is not only benefiting him and his family but is also opening doors for others in his community. He’s grateful for the opportunity to study abroad and enjoys attending church on Saturdays, where he’s been warmly welcomed.
Amina’s Gift is proud to fully support Ronald’s education, covering his tuition, accommodation, transportation, and food, ensuring he can focus on his studies and future success. We look forward to following his inspiring journey as he continues to excel at UNCP.
