Charlotte Ganyanga
Charlotte Ganyanga is currently being supported!
Charlotte comes from a family of four kids. She was born with a disability but it was not detected until it was too late to intervene. This is not uncommon in the very poor rural area of Zimbabwe. She started crawling later than expected and the family realized there was a problem when she could not walk. The family tried physical therapy and exercises but it proved to be late. The parents separated years later and the father now lives in Mozambique and the mother in Murehwa, a village in Zimbabwe. Charlotte is currently living the grandmother near Concession. Charlotte has exceeded the normal stereotypes given to young people with disabilities. She learns at a school which is designed for children with no disability but she has fared well academically. She has many friends among the rest of her classmates because she has such a wonderful disposition. With the help of modified crutches, Charlotte walks to school every day.
